Skinny Friends...

Yeah, we all have at least one and they are annoying as hell, aren't they? But in reality, there are two types of skinny friends, the ones who get it and the ones who don't. The ones who get it are the ones who aknowledge that i'm FAT AS FUCK and I couldn't fit an ankle let alone a hip into any of their size 2 pants. I appreciate these friends.
The one's who dont get it do and say things like this:
- "That cracker made me soooo full"!
- "Why am I so fat"?
- "Can we stop into the Petite Casual store for a second ... you can look at the purses and shoes".
- "Do you really need lunch today"?
- "Well, you could have a boyfriend if you would just..."
- "It's only your body that makes you look so fat".
- "Being a size 4 is the new size 6...why am I so last year? It's not fair"!
You get the idea. Skinny friends are hard to avoid, and yet I'm about ready to give them up cold turkey! I can't handle it anymore. If I have to walk into another Juniors clothing store where the salespeople look at me like I'm going to eat their display, I may actually actually attempt it!

I'd just been complaining to a non fat friendly acquaintance last week about how in the past I've become fatter despite the fact that I hadn't eaten any more nor exercised any less, & how horrified I was when a doctor had offered me a drug which causes anal leakage, & later offered me weight loss surgery (gastric bypass type), when she asked me if I had tried counting calories?!! Yes, let's just presume the fat woman is lying about not overeating, & suggest that she add obsession to her ailments!

I have one petite little girlfriend...one time her equally tiny sister told me I should go walking...
As it is, I have to walk everywhere because I don't have a car (can't drive) and I have to take the bus.
I would like to see her carry 8 heavy grocery bags onto the back of the bus because no one closer to the front is willing to give up their seat *** in 150 degree hot weather without collapsing! lol!
Walking is the least of what I do,
and I dislike the assumption because Im bigger that Im lazy...I am absolutely not! It's just a stigma like everything else.

My favorite comment my skinny friend who didnt get it would always say "You're not fat you're proportioned."

i'm sorry "it's only your body that makes you look so fat." ?!?!

bwaaaa haaaaa haaa haa

i would have laughed my ass off at that one. it would have been a source of ridicule for months to come.

i am a good friend, honest, but really, that's just too good to pass up.

Who the fuck are these "friends"?

you know its the opposite for me. im skinny, like 100 pounds or so, and my friend, whos bigger, say 200-250 pounds is always bringing up weight, saying how fat she is and how much food she ate and all. its so annoying !!
i just want to talk about something other than weight and food for once, you know? how much she weighs or ate that day has nothing to do with how much of an awesome friend she is

the worse one is when the skinny ones try to make you feel better by saying....Sarah, your not fat...then i look at them with a 'are you on crack' look and tell them my weight.

then they look at me speechless and walk away or talk to someone else.

In response to anonymous, who said about her skinny friend, "I would like to see her carry 8 heavy grocery bags onto the back of the bus because no one closer to the front is willing to give up their seat *** in 150 degree hot weather without collapsing! lol!

I'm a size 0/1, 5', and 110 lbs of mostly muscle. I had to carry a 45kg rucksack around in 115 degrees of desert sun. I had to walk around for miles and climb while carrying that thing. So, skinny girls are capable of carrying a lot of weight. People assume that I'm just a little thing, who can't or won't lift a finger, but I surprise them when I do physical things.

I don't know how often you get groceries or whom you have to feed, but eight bags of groceries is more than what my husband and I get at a time. We go once a week, and he's 6'2", 240 lbs. Then, you have the thought of that someone in the front of a bus should give up his/her seat just because you have groceries...it shows your mentality. I wouldn't expect someone to do that for me. I can understand the courtesy behind it, like I would give up a seat to an elderly or disabled person, but you're just another person who's gotten food.

I don't know how lazy you really are, but your mentality of thinking that it's rough carrying 8 bags of groceries in hot weather kind of reflects a low level "work" ethic. Doing daily activities for survival is not work. Part of my work ethic includes sweating and feeling a burn in my muscles until they shake. Then, afterwards, I think, "Man, I could've gone a little longer." So, I think that there are, at least, two different levels of what is considered lazy and what is not.

Personally, if I saw someone coming onto public transit with a ton of shopping bags and I have nothing to carry, I'd offer to move to a seat further back. 1:08, have you ever ridden a bus or had to carry shopping bags through isles of people? And really, your assumption that the poster has too many shopping bags is way out of line. Maybe she has kids at home. Or maybe she has 8 bags worth of slim fast drinks. It's really none of your business.
